Software That Can Make Photographs Come Alive

Plotograph turns uploaded images into looping GIF or video files.

Photographer Troy Plota created Plotograph, software that can make static images come alive by turning them into short looping GIFs and videos, PetaPixel writes.

The user only has to upload a source photograph, highlight the parts that need to remain static and the parts that need to be animated. The resulting file can be saved as GIF, MP4, or MOV.

To demonstrate the basic principles of the app, the authors released a short video tutorial where they showed how to work with Plotograph at the example of one photograph.

The beta version of the product is currently available to order on the website for $299.
