Indian Designers Change Car Interiors in Mumbai

British designer Sanket Avlani founded Taxi Fabric a project to redesign car interiors in Mumbai. According to Fast Company the new design of the first five cars is ready.

Currently, the project is funded by the founders themselves, but Sanket Avlani has begun collecting money for Taxi Fabric on Kickstarter. If Avlani is able to raise the funds, the number of cars with a unique design will exceed several dozen.

The Taxi Fabric founders hope the project will help Indian designers accomplish their plans and that it will also change the attitude of local people towards the designer’s work. Sanket Avlani himself was born and raised in Mumbai, but to continue his career has to moved to London.
