Belgian Director Turns Shadows Into Illustrations
Vincent Bal gives shape to shadows cast by everyday objects.
Vincent Bal, filmmaker and artist from Belgium, posted illustrations from his project called Shadowology on his page on Instagram, created based on shadows of surrounding objects.
“I draw a few lines and I get my image. It’s really the shadows that inspire me,” The artist says. Bal says he started drawing doodles when he saw an elephant in a shadow from his cup.
