Photographer Captured People Who Dive into Freezing Cold Water

Finnish photographer Daan Verhoeven published a series of photographs that capture faces of people who dive into freezing cold water, PetaPixel writes.
The photographs were taken during the world freediving championship where the participants jumped into the pool with freezing cold 4°С water.
“I wanted to capture the shock of submerging yourself into water this cold,” the author says. “It’s actually quite good fun and pleasant, but only afterwards. The initial feeling is overwhelmingly… well, shocking!”
