Barack Obama Made a List of His Favorite Movies
US President Barack Obama who is a guest editor for Wired’s November issue, compiled a list of movies that he thinks are the best or that impacted him a lot. The selection was published on the magazine’s website.
The resulting list of eight movies includes Stanley Kubrick’s Space Odyssey, Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner, and Steven Spielberg’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind. The President also selected Star Wars: Episode IV—A New Hope, series Star Trek and Cosmos: A Personal Voyage, and another Ridley Scott’s film, The Martian.
Wired announced that the US President will guest edit the November issue in late August. The topics covered within the issue include using data in urban planning, renewable energy, climate change, and cybersecurity.
