Jordan Lloyd Colorized the Photos from Tutankhamun’s Tomb
Original black-and-white photos were taken by egyptologist Harry Burton between 1922 and 1925.
British photo-colorizer Jordan Lloyd colorized the photos from Howard Carter’s archaeological expedition, which found Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922, PetaPixel writes. There are about two dozen photographs in the series, taken by one of the members of the expedition, egyptologist Harry Burton, between 1922 and 1925.
The project came to life with the support of Griffith Institute in Oxford and SC Exhibitions for their upcoming exhibition The Discovery of King Tut, which opens on November 21st in New York.
