NatGeo Describes History Of Mars Missions In Infographics
The magazine illustrates when the 43 expeditions to Mars departed, and how they ended.
National Geographic illustrated the history of Mars missions from 1960 to 2013 in interactive infographics.
A designer for the magazine, Anna Scalamogna, gathered information about 43 space expeditions from scientists from USSR (Russia), USA, India, China, Japan and European Space Agency, and illustrated the info in order of launch dates. The infographics present how many expeditions were successful, how many failed and why, and how far the researched missions could reach.
