Artist Turned People from Classic Portraits into 3D Figurines
All works were done with the help of 3D printing.
London artist Daniel Warnecke presented a series of works where he turned the characters of classic portraits and art works into realistic figurines, Design Boom writes.
The author created every model with the help of 3D-printing and added modern elements to all of them: for instance, a character of Johannes Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring is wearing jeans and The Blue Boy by Thomas Gainsborough is depicted in the track suit.
“This way, I was able to engage the audience by showing them something very familiar and recognizable but in a completely new way of viewing”, — Warnecke said.
