This Website Chooses Reaction GIFs That Match Users’ Selfies
American programmer Alex Holachek developed a website called Reaction GIF Generator, which automatically generates GIFs to match the photographs uploaded by users, Mashable writes.
To work with this service, users need to access the website from a device equipped with a frontal camera — a smartphone or a laptop — and take a selfie. When the photograph is done, the algorithms will analyze the face expression of the person in the picture and select animation that conveys their emotion in the best way.
Reaction GIF Generator is based on Emotion API, developed by Microsoft, and uses Giphy as a source of GIFs. The program can distinguish eight main emotions: anger, disgust, sadness, surprise, fear, acceptance, joy, anticipation.
