Photography Art Will Replace Ads in NYC Subway For One Month
For one month, with a new app, the passengers of the NYC subway will be able to see the photos from the International Centre of Photography instead of commercial advertisements
The app No Ad, developed by Jordan Seiler and Jowy Romano, will be overlaying pieces of art from the International Centre of Photography over commercial advertisements posted throughout the New York City subway system. You just point your smartphone on the ad and the app will show a photo. Each advertisement is connected to a certain photo, so if you want to see the whole exhibition you will need to go throughout the city.
The app is free and available for the users of iOS and Android. The service can be tested on the official site of the developers.
