Gaza Resident Asks For the Return of a Banksy Piece
Gaza resident who sold a door with Banksy graffiti for less than $200 wants it back so he can sell it for a higher price.
33-year-old Gaza resident, Rabie Dardouna, asked for the return of a door of his destroyed house which was used by Banksy to draw the Greek goddess Niobe.
“I did not know that it was this valuable. I heard it can be sold for millions. Now I want the door back,” said Dardouna. The buyer, who paid only 700 shekels, refused to return the door and said the purchase was not for profiting and that the intent is to protect the art and showcase it.
