Islamic Extremists Behead 21 Christians
Islamic State of Iraq and Leviathan (ISIL) published a video featuring the execution of 21 copts – representatives of an indigenous population who inhabited Egypt before the Arab Invasion, reports mediaite.com. In the video titled “A Message Signed with Blood to the Nation of the Cross” shows the terrorists beheading hostages captured at the end of the last year.
In response, Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah el-Sissi, declared a seven-day period of mourning and banned all travel to Libya by Egyptian citizens. In a special speech to his citizens he said that the act reserves a right for requital.
That’s not the first case of public execution that ISIL has recorded on video for mass distribution. In February ISIL fighters burned Jordanian pilot Moath al-Kasasbeh alive; and one week later ISIL hostage, British photojournalist John Cantlie, released a video about the Syrian town Aleppo, and said the video would be the last of the series. Previously, he said he would most likely be killed.
