Winners of Siena International Photography Awards Announced
2,500 authors from 100 countries all over the world submitted more than 15,000 photographs.
On Saturday, October 31, the jury of the Siena International Photography Awards 2015 announced the names of the winners, The Guardian writes.
The photographer of the year winner is Vladimir Proshin from Russia with his work On the River, showing Chinese fishermen near the city of Lishui. The author will receive a prize of €1,500.
Hasan Baglar from Cyprus won first prize in the Nature category, Noor Ahmed Gelal was chosen a winner in the Travel category, and in Open Color the best was the work by Giulio Montini from Italy.
The organizers say that the best photographs were selected from applications from more than 100 countries all over the world.
