A Canadian Made an Impressive Shot of Hot Tea Thrown in the Air

Michael Davies turned tea into a cloud of ice crystals.

Canadian photographer Michael Davies posted a photo of hot tea thrown into air with the sunset in the background on his Flickr, Huffington Post writes. He took the photograph in Nunavut region in the northern part of the country.

“Along with my friend Markus, we drove to the top of a nearby mountain where the light would hit the hills, – Davies explained. – The sun in the middle of the spray was something I was hoping for.”

The effect shown in the photograph can be achieved when throwing hot water in the air at low temperature – this creates a cloud of small ice chrystals.
