Social Inequality in South Africa Captured by a Drone

Johnny Miller photographed the borders of rich and poor quarters that are only several hundred meters away from each other.

South African photographer Johnny Miller presented a series called Unequal Scenes where he visualizes social inequality in his native country, PetaPixel writes.

Miller says that this project started from one photograph that he did on the outskirts of Cape Town and posted on Facebook: the photograph was liked and shared so many times that the photographer decided to go on a trip around South Africa to do a series.

“Discrepancies in how people live are sometimes hard to see from the ground, — Miller says. — The beauty of being able to fly is to see things from a new perspective – to see things as they really are.”
