The images first surfaced in April this year after a screenshot of the input field where users had to choose a number from a drop-down list was published on Reddit. To input the last four digits of a phone number, they had to find it in a list featuring numbers between 0000 and 9999.
Later, interface designer Stelian Firez posted a screenshot on his Twitter, and his colleagues started offering other weird phone number input fields. For example, one generates ten random digits, another one offers to catch numbers with a cursor to input them.
In the comments, Imgur users remembered a weird input field created by a developed named Andrew. In it, users need to quickly press a random key on a keyboard to enter a random digit.
