Leap of Faith Aired Live in London for Assassin’s Creed Commercial

Stuntman Dave Grant performed a stunt similar to the one featured in the movie.

As part of the advertising campaign for Assassin’s Creed that premiers on January 1, 2017 British TV channel Channel 4 and 20th Century Fox studio organized the ‘leap of faith’ on one of the streets of London and aired it live, Adweek writes.

The ‘leap of faith’ is a movement known from the Assassin’s Creed computer game, a jump from considerable height. Stuntman Dave Grant who played the main character of the movie in the advertising jumped from the lift located at the height of 30 meters.

The similar stunt is featured in one of the scenes of Assassin’s Creed — several months ago the video that shows the making of the scene became popular on the web: instead of using special effects to imitate the jump, the director decided to employ a stuntman who after several tries jumped from 38 meters. The authors of the movie say this was one of the highest stunt jumps in the past 35 years.
