19 Buildings Demolished in 10 Seconds in China
On January 21, 19 multistoreyed buildings were demolished in Wuhan, china, in 10 seconds.
The buildings were located near the light rail, a shopping mall, and a residential district, so the explosion had to be performed with extra caution, CCTV writes. Technicians installed 120,000 charges, which required 5 tons of explosives. For safety reasons, the explosions were not performed simultaneously, but with a one millisecond delay. Neither the light rail, nor the buildings near the demolition area were damaged.
