Social Advertising about Mass Shootings at Schools Looks Like a Love Story
In several days, the video with an unexpected ending had over 4 million views.
BBDO agency created a video commissioned by Sandy Hook Promise, the organization founded by the relatives of the victims of mass shooting, committed by a 20-year-old American Adam Peter Lanza at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012, Adweek writes.
The viewers find out the agenda behind the video only at the end — it starts as a story of a middle-schooler named Evan who sits at the library and write on the table ‘I am bored.’
The next day, he notices that there is a reply from an unknown girl under his phrase: they start messaging, meanwhile Evan tries to identify her.
