Previously Unpublished Personal Photographs of Hitler to Be Auctioned
The album found back in 1945 has 73 photographs.
A photo album with previously unpublished photographs from the personal archive of Adolf Hitler will be auctioned in Britain: the auction takes place on Wednesday, March 15, and the estimated value of the lot is about $18,000, Reuters writes.
According to C&T Auctions consultant Tim Harper, the album was found in 1945 in Eva Braun’s bedroom, and is currently owned by a collectioner whose name is not disclosed. It has 73 photographs, some of them capturing Hitler during a vacation.
“The shots you are seeing in this album are natural, relaxed, a number of them are amusing and almost certainly they would not have been allowed to be published. They are quite revealing,” C&T Auctions comments.
