Instagram of the Day: Cartographers Showed Satellite Images of Their Favourite Places

DigitalGlobe, a cartographic company, asked its employees to show satellite images of their favourite places on Earth.

Each of them told a short story about their favourite place. One person visited Seoul 10 years ago for a relative’s wedding, the other won a trip to the sandstone rock formation in Arizona called The Wave, the third person traveled around Norway fjords with his fiancee, who was doing research there, and his colleague remembered how he climbed up Kilimanjaro.

There is a total of 21 satellite images. DigitalGlobe now wants to post five most popular images once again, and choose a winner among them. There is no information about further plans for the corporate Instagram account.
