EyeEm Announces the Winners of the Minimalist Architecture Photo Contest
The contest on EyeEm was open for submissions since February 13. The jury shortlisted 20 photographs among those that were submitted with the hashtag ‘minimalist architecture.’ The participants submitted a total of 40,000 works, 24,000 of them in the first week.
The winners were selected by a German photographer Matthias Heiderich. The winner of the first prize is Georgij Dorofeev. Heiderich said that his photograph is hard to tell from a computer generated image, but the subtle details in it hint that it is real (such as the shadow on a facade). The second prize went to Patryk Kuleta with his photograph of the facade of Maxxi museum designed by Zaha Hadid. The third prize was awarded to Gunther Kleinert.
Two of the finalists — André Dogbey and Ralf Pollack — each have three of their works shortlisted for the award.
