Beer Brand Asks Female Illustrators to Improve Its Sexist Advertising

The participants of the experiment were offered to make their own collages or illustrations based on old posters.

Brazilian beer brand Skol published an advertising video where it showed how the company invited six female illustrators and asked them for a makeover of their old advertising posters that are considered sexist by modern standards, Adweek writes.

“These images are part of our past… but the world has evolved, and so has Skol. This doesn’t represent us anymore,” the company said of their advertising from the previous years.

Every artist had a task to create her own collage or illustration based on the image she was given. “I accepted this project because I think it’s important to deconstruct stereotypes, preconceived notions,” one of the participants of the experiment said.
