British Journal of Photography Opens Submissions for Breakthrough Awards

Students or recent graduates can submit their work until May 8.

British Journal of Photography opened submissions for the third annual contest for young photographers, Breakthrough Awards. The works of four winners will be published in the BJP and exhibited in London in June-July 2017.

The contest is open for entries until May 8, in the categories Single Image and Series (up to 20 photographs). There are no restriction for genre and themes of the photographs, but they have to be taken by students or recent graduates.

This year’s jury includes Diana Markosian, a photographer and a nominee for Magnum Photos membership, Emma Lewis, Assistant Curator at the Tate Modern, and Emma Bowkett, Director of Photography at the FT Weekend Magazine.
