More than 100 European institutions provided their collections for the archive.
Еuropeana online archive collection contains digitized versions of more than 48 million works of art that include thousands of photographs, paintings, books and other artefacts, collected from more than 100 museums and archives all over Europe, Open Culture writes.
For instance, the collection has old advertisements and theater posters from late 19th and early 20th centuries, or photographs, documents and diaries from WWI.
The archive is categorized, and users can also search items by period, color, or museum that has provided the item.
