Stabbing Mistaken for Performance Art at the Exhibition in Miami
Police is investigating whether it was the disagreement about contemporary art that caused the argument.
A conflict took place in one of the exhibition halls of Art Basel in Miami, which resulted in several stab wounds, Artnet writes. The visitors mistook it for performance art.
“I thought I saw a performance, and I thought it was fake blood, — one of the visitors of the exhibition said. — It’s horrible.”
The victim was taken to local hospital, she is out of danger. The police officers who arrived on site arrested 24-year-old Siyuan Zhao, who will be charged with attempted murder.
