Netflix Launches RateMe App from the Black Mirror

Netflix launched a parody version of RateMe, the app that is featured in the first episode of the third season of the Black Mirror.

The characters of ‘Nosedive’ in the world where people are governed by a social network called RateMe. With the help of it, users can rate not only each other’s photos and videos, but also any other interaction. The rating the person receives influences their social status and privileges.

The app is available only in the browser version. Users can find out their average rating (the developers do not disclose what defines it) and share the result with friends on social networks, as well as see the ratings of other users. Some commenters started comparing the rating of celebrities.
